Arc Development

Professional Services for Teachers, Administrators, and School Families

Arc Professional Development helps teachers and school administrators make thoughtful and productive choices about the evolution of their careers.

Stage One Workshops

Stage One workshops are designed for teachers who have taught for two to five years — the first segment of their career arcs. Ideally Stage One participants have built skills in the elements of teaching: designing lessons, managing the classroom, the basics of assessment, and conducting parent-teacher conferences.

The next stages of a career among promising early-stage teachers might be spent investigating individual topics of interest: conflict resolution; deeper integration of technology, greater understanding of students with learning handicaps; and next steps to leadership responsibilities and positions, such as dean, division head, admission director, or eventually head of school.
